Put a date in your diary for February 26/27 - TradeTech MiFID Spring 2007 is taking place at the Radisson SAS hotel in Portland Square. Another chance to read an article by Richard Gissing, founder and CTO, and Mike Hill, marketing director, that appeared in the November edition of Banking Technology. The article discusses some of the issues and "known unknowns" (to quote Donald Rumsfeld) surrounding MiFID transparency requirements, and explains why these should start to be addressed now rather than waiting for further details to be published.

Hard on the heels of Gissing ConteX MCS R3.72 which included the status handler for integration with ITRS Geneos, we're delighted to announce the immediate availability of Gissing ConteX MCS 3.73 which includes two more new handers: a Bloomberg Money Markets (ECPX) output handler, and a Lightstreamer output handler that enables Gissing ConteX to integrate with Lightstreamer to enable dynamic streaming of real-time market data to a web page. Several of our clients have asked us how they can publish market data, particularly instrument prices, either in real-time or delayed, from their market data platform to a web page or pages. We have been working with Italian software company Lightstreamer to create a solution that streams data, dynamically and in real-time, to a web page of the clients' design.
