Gissing joins Oracle Partner Network
Gissing and Oracle UK have been in discussions for several weeks; these discussions have covered a range of areas of mutual interest, in particular MiFID and the implications that its provisions have for capture and storage of large volumes of quote and trade information in real time. While Gissing has substantial expertise in contributions, there are provisions of MiFID that require the storage of all contributed data, and potentially the storage of aggregated market data as well. Given Oracle’s expertise in high-speed and high-capacity data storage and retrieval, and its development of a data architecture to achieve MiFID compliance, the partnership seemed a natural one. Look out for further announcements.
