Gissing RealtimeXL includes a set of tools that allow you to migrate older spreadsheet applications that use DDE to RTD and immediately take advantage of the new technology and the performance improvements it brings.

February 6th 2006 saw the publication of the long-awaited formal drafts of the MiFID Level 2 implementing measures. Richard Gissing, our founder and CTO, has taken a long hard look at the four documents, designed to be read in conjunction with the original Level 1 directive.

Already announced to supported clients, Gissing ConteX MCS 3.69 is now available for download. Release 3.69 contains a number of significant enhancements including the handling of over-length page data, improved software installation and other enhancements to ten of our input and output handlers.
In a change to our normal release policy, we will shortly be pre-announcing the major enhancements to be included in the next release of Gissing ConteX MCS - Version 3.70, and its expected availability date. More...

Design work has begun on a new Gissing Software product, the Gissing RSS News Server. Many news organisations including BBC News, CNN, Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times are making news available online, and using RSS to publish it. But this normally requires internet access: not available in many dealing rooms.
Gissing's new product will access up-to-the-minute news feeds and provide the results on your market data platform without compromising network security.

The FAST Protocol (FIX Adapted for STreaming) is quickly gaining support across the financial services industry. The protocol has been specifically designed to compact data being transmitted. This has been shown, in some circumstances, to reduce bandwidth utilisation by up to 90%, allowing organisations to deal with the rapid increase in data transmission without requiring greater communications bandwidth.
Since FAST is likely to be one of the primary protocols used by organisations to achieve MiFID compliance, Gissing believes that there will very shortly be a requirement for contribution systems to support the FAST Protocol and is therefore announcing a number of products supporting this protocol.
