See the new version of Gissing ConteX MCS at SIFMA, June 19-21, NYC
Some of our clients have been using Gissing ConteX MCS for up to 8 years. The current version of Gissing ConteX MCS is R3.74. Yes that really means 74 updates to Release 3 of the product. That’s why clients pay an annual fee for “support and maintenance”. In these releases we’ve added new functionality, new protocol handlers and continued to keep up with the changes and variations in market data systems technology and communications protocols.
Along the way we’ve asked many of you for your opinions on what you’d like to see included in future versions. And some of you may recall us discussing the next version of Gissing ConteX MCS – 4.0. Well it’s almost here.
We’ve already invested more than 5 man-years’ work in it. And we’ll be launching it at SIFMA (the tradeshow formerly known as SIA) later this month. The product has a new logo, from which many of the icons are derived:
Those of you attending SIFMA are welcome to visit our booth (1601) for a demonstration. For those of you that can’t get to New York in late June, we’ve prepared a product datasheet which is available immediately to existing clients by emailing enquiries@gissing.com. We’ll be posting more details of the exciting new features in the new version of product on the website on launch day (June 18th).
But to whet your appetite, the new features include:
- Even lower latency
- Dynamic reconfiguration - both live and scheduled
- Ability to derive data from an input record
- Data validation, including against historical record data
- An entirely new expression language
Some of these features are included in a simple upgrade to your existing installation; others such as Derived Data and Data Validation are extra-cost items.
Gissing ConteX MCS 4.0 also provides the platform for our MiFID reporting solutions for pre-trade and post-trade reporting.
