Paul Watmough joins Gissing Software
Following our highly successful 2006, Gissing Software is anticipating continued growth during 2007, and in order to continue to deliver, and improve, the level of account servicing we provide to clients, we are growing our sales team. The first new recruit of 2007 is Paul Watmough who joined the Gissing team in February as Business Development Manager.
Paul is well known in the fixed income and market data industries having most recently been responsible for sales and marketing at Speedwell Associates. Prior to the ten years he was at Speedwell he spent three years at Barclays Capital where he held various positions including systems analysis and project management and was invited to become a Fixed Income trader.
As with our existing team, Paul’s nominal place of work will be our HQ and development centre at Bromley, just outside London, but he’ll be spending most of his time working with clients and prospects in and around the City. Paul brings a wealth of contacts, a deep knowledge of the industry and, having been involved in software development and support in his early career, strong technical capabilities to the Gissing account management team
Paul’s primary focus will be on new business – both picking up the account management of several of the major new initiatives Gissing has become involved in this year – and working with Mike Hill, Gissing’s marketing director, in generating further new business. Paul will be taking over the account management of a number of existing Gissing clients, and he’ll be introduced to those accounts during the next few weeks. We’re delighted to welcome Paul on board and wish him every success.
