Gissing attends TradeTECH MiFID - more events to follow
Gissing Software was one of the sponsors of the TradeTECH MiFID Winter conference, organized by WBR, and held at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Portman Square London on 26th/27th February.
A range of industry speakers from banks, investment firms, regulators, market data vendors and technology vendors provided a challenging day crammed full of information. The main conference day, 27th, started with registration from 8am with the opening address from David Lawton, Head of Markets Policy at the FSA. The conference proceedings continued until 6:30pm when the day finally wrapped up with a cocktail reception.
The whole day was chaired by Chris Pickles, Chair of the MiFID Joint Working Group and Manager of Industry Relations at BT Radianz. Gissing’s founder and CTO, Richard Gissing, took part in a lively panel session entitled “Developing A Successful Strategy To Overcome Key IT Issues, Challenges & Costs” along with representatives from Allianz Investment Bank and Lehman Brothers.
 As one of the sponsors, Gissing Software took along its new pop-up stand and took advantage of the opportunity to chat about MiFID transparency and its impact on real-time data with existing clients and prospects while also identifying some potential new opportunities.
