Gissing to exhibit in Microsoft's booth at SIA - June 20-22

The Securities Industry Association Technology Management Conference and Exhibit is one of the primary events in the global financial services industry. It’s held each year in New York, and this year it will take place from June 20th to 22nd. Last year over 7,000 delegates visited the exhibition.

Members of staff from Gissing Software have attended this event as delegates on several occasions, and we’ve found it enormously valuable both for lead generation and networking, but we’ve never exhibited there before. Gissing is a Microsoft Certified Partner (we’re working on becoming one of only 350 UK Gold Certified Partners around the time of the show). Our growing relationship with Microsoft is based around our leading RealtimeXL product; and this year, Microsoft has asked us to join the company on its booth (#2211) at SIA. We will be one of 15 partners sharing the booth with Microsoft, and one of two from the UK. Microsoft’s other UK partner is ClusterSeven, publishers of enterprise spreadsheet management software. We are working with ClusterSeven on a joint demonstration of our two products working together.

Bill Hartnett, Microsoft

“We’re pleased that Gissing Software is joining us in our booth at SIA to demonstrate the strength of our ‘experience Capital Markets’ initiative,” said Bill Hartnett, GM of strategy and solutions for Microsoft’s U.S. Financial Services Group. “Microsoft’s partners such as Gissing provide valuable vertical expertise, building their targeted solutions upon the Microsoft platform to serve the customer best. We’re anticipating a very successful event.”

Those attending the show from Gissing Software will be:

  • Richard Gissing, Founder and CTO
  • Kevin Iraca, Managing Director Gissing Software, Inc.
  • Garry Cheddy, Sales Support
  • Graham Legg, Director of Development and Support

At this year’s event Microsoft will highlight how customers and partners are using Microsoft technology to improve the front and middle office trading environment by leveraging ubiquitous tools into the trading, compliance and risk management aspects of both the Institutional and retail markets. Gissing RealtimeXL fits well within this framework, and that’s the product we’ll be featuring during the event; we’ll be demonstrating the new 2.1 release described elsewhere in this newsletter.

However our team will also be happy to discuss Gissing’s other products, all of which run on Microsoft platforms. These include:

  • ConteX multi-vendor contributions solutions,
  • the recently-announced MiFID compliance and FAST Protocol products
  • STP and Trade Capture products.

If you’d like to schedule a meeting with one of the team, please email us at enquiries@gissing.com stating the name of the person you’d like to meet, a suggested date and time, and the topic(s) you’d like to cover.
