Gissing ConteX Express - the solution for modest contribution requirements
We have been approached by several prospective clients recently who have been looking for the speed, manageability, reliability and throughput of a Gissing ConteX solution, but whose contribution requirements don’t justify a full implementation of Gissing ConteX MCS.
These organisations have some common characteristics:
- Some want to contribute prices only to a single venue – so a multi-vendor contribution system isn’t necessary
- Many are using PriceLink to contribute indicative prices to Bloomberg. They want to move to contribution of executable prices, and Bloomberg insist they move over to MPF – which is a lot more complex to implement
- Some want to publish prices directly from a spreadsheet application but don’t have (or don’t want to use) a market data platform to connect their spreadsheet to the contribution engine.
- And some, mainly brokers, are interested in publishing prices in real-time to a website for their own clients
We have designed Gissing ConteX Express to meet all of these requirements.
Gissing ConteX Express uses the same widely-used tried and tested, highly reliable, low latency technology as Gissing ConteX MCS. Gissing ConteX Express even provides the usual management, traffic and logging capabilities that you would expect from a Gissing contribution solution. However Gissing ConteX Express is designed to use only one input handler and one output handler; this has allowed us to make the whole process of installation, configuration and management much more straightforward and elegant.
Gissing ConteX Express is available in a number of off-the-shelf pre-configured versions. However you can choose from the entire range of Gissing ConteX handlers to configure versions to your precise needs. Should your configuration require it, it’s possible to install two instances of Gissing ConteX Express alongside one another (on separate machines) to contribute to two venues simultaneously. If your requirements are more complex than even this configuration then Gissing ConteX MCS is likely to provide you a more appropriate solution.
