Gissing Software announces Phat Pipe Market Rates Feed Handler
Phat Pipe is Bloomberg’s eagerly anticipated high-bandwidth, low-cost Market Rates Feed that went live earlier this year. It’s scheduled to be fully operational in the next few weeks and will carry all types of data including Exchange data, Bloomberg’s own data and Contributed data.
Gissing Software is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Bloomberg to license the API for Phat Pipe. Gissing Software is already working on a Phat Pipe Market Rates Feed handler. The Gissing Phat Pipe MRF, scheduled to be available during the first quarter of 2006, will enable organisations that subscribe to Phat Pipe to deliver data via their internal market data platform.
Richard Gissing, CTO of Gissing Software, said, “We’ve had several enquiries from existing clients about our support for Phat Pipe, and we’re delighted to announce our participation in Bloomberg’s Phat Pipe API licensing program. Development work is already underway.”
Limited Availability Three-Month Trial
Because organisations are likely to want to test Phat Pipe before committing to a full deployment, Gissing Software will provide low-cost trial licenses of Gissing Phat Pipe MRF, each valid for three months.
If, at the end of the trial period, the client wants to move to a full implementation, the license fee for the trial period will be credited against the full annual license fee, effectively making the trial license free of charge.
Pricing is not yet finalised, but will be announced prior to customer availability of the product in early 2006.
