Contribution User Group

The Contribution User Group has been wound up

Gissing Software founded the Contribution User Group (CUG) in order to create a forum for the discussion of market data contribution issues. We also used it as a way of having a dialogue with our clients.

However since its foundation the industry has moved on, and so has Gissing Software. We implemented a regular newsletter for our clients, and with more business development managers we are able to have conversations with our clients directly. We find these one-on-one discussions more valuable since they are much less restrictive than they would be in an open forum.

And with the inception of the European Commission's Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) there are now many more forums, events and industry bodies at and through which market data contribution issues are discussed.

As a result the attendance at CUG meetings started to dwindle, and we've therefore decided to wind up the CUG.

If you had previously registered for CUG membership, your login details will continue to grant you access to the archive of files and presentations for a while. But we're not accepting any further registrations.

If you're not sure whether you're already signed up, just do so again. You don't need to worry about receiving duplicate copies: our email management system is configured to remove duplicate addresses (provided you sign up with exactly the same email address, of course).
