Gissing ConteX MCS

Gissing ConteX Multi Contribution System (MCS)

How Gissing ConteX MCS works

Gissing ConteX MCS takes data from input sources, translates it to the appropriate format, and routes it to output destinations, using the required protocols. It uses a system of Input Handlers and Output Handlers, all managed by the Kernel. Everything runs in real time, at high speed and with proven reliability.

Gissing ConteX MCS' modular architecture makes it completely scaleable and flexible. Contributing data to a different vendor or destination is simply a matter of adding the appropriate output handler to the system. Equally, subscribing to data from additional sources in your organisation is as simple as adding another input handler.

The Gissing ConteX MCS system's fault tolerant architecture ensures that each software component is continuously monitored; should any component fail, it is immediately restarted with no loss of data or practical effect on the data contribution process. The system's hardware platform is duplicated, with live and hot standby. Should there be a failure in one of the system components, then an immediate switch over takes place with no practical effect in the flow of data.
